Day 1 of our drive we did 11 hours and stopped for the night in El Paso! The boys were SO SO happy to be out of the car!
And after day 2 and nearly 8 more hours theressss Austin!
Again, the boys were really happy to be out of their crates!
Brucey found his new lookout spot
Sweet Milo passed out with his favorite toy from home!
Our first adventure after exploring our neighborhood was taking a tour of the Capitol
Surprise surprise it's the biggest state Capitol in the U.S. (Yes even bigger than the nations Capitol in D.C.)
Then in the evening we walked to the neighborhood bakery for some delicious vegan cupcakes
(No I didn't eat two!)
We learned from our week in San Francisco to take a tour of the city early in the visit, so we can explore the areas we like after.
So Friday we took an electric bike foodie tour!
There's our tour guide Dave on the right!
First stop: Mexican food with a twist
Second stop: Asian fusion from the Top Chef season 9 winner
Third stop: PIZZA at Viva 313!!(
The only place I didn't take a picture of because I was too busy stuffing my face!
I did however take a pic of this little guy that fell from the tree we were sitting under onto Cor's hat
Nope it's not a leaf!
Final stop: Gelato for Dessert!
We ended with FULL bellies, tons of recommendations, and we even made some new friends!
Our bikes!
These bikes were the COOLEST things ever... You can pedal like a regular bike OR use the super fancy electric motor.. Which is silent so passerbys just think you're speedy =] so much fun!
Since the weekends are reportedly pretty busy in Austin we decided to have a lowkey day
After breakfast and some cleaning we drove around downtime and after finding parking set out on foot for some exploring
First stop this very interesting antique/home decor store with this lovely guy out front:
I wanted to take him home but I think the pups would be a little squished in the back seat =]
Then Cor got lunch at this sandwich truck
We found a cute little creek to eat by and took the trail next to it back to the city
I spy a Cor bear!
We also went to the open house of a 2 million dollar house which was pretty interesting! It was gorgeous and unnecessary!!
Our first weekend in Austin ended with a little BBQ and an ice cream date at night!
And a Happy Father's Day to my dad and Sean! We love you guys!!
On to week 2 in ATX!
XO <3
