Camping in Sequoia Pt. 1

Cor and I just finished camping for a week in Sequoia National Park.. And we had the best time! In my opinion it may have been one of our very best vacations

We arrived Monday June 30 in the late afternoon and set up camp. We didn't have a lot of neighbors and the campground was pretty empty (thumbs up!)

Here's some pictures of Moro Rock as we were driving up the mountain:

Driving through the pretty forest:

Cor and my dad came last year, but stayed at Lodgepole.. This was their site:

Right as we drove into our site there were two deer in the site across from ours

Here was our site for the week!

I had my own personal lumberjack who chopped all our wood and made sure we always had plenty! He was definitely in his element and so stinkin cute =]

Our first fire!

On Tuesday morning we hiked upper Stony Creek

After hiking we went to take a tour of Crystal Cave!

After the cave we went back to camp to eat and relax.. We wanted to get an early start on Wednesday to hopefully get a bear sighting!

Stay tuned for Part 2 =]

The End of All-Stars!

Since the last time I blogged, All-Stars has come to an end! It didn't quite finish the way I had hoped, but I'm focusing on the positive. I was lucky enough to coach 12 amazing little girls who never failed to make me laugh, smile, shake my head, and prouder than I've ever been.

I was VERY sad the season had to end, but I am so thankful for the experience.

Here are the photos from our last tournament:

I will get to see them all for our end of the season bash so it's not all sad faces.. And I hope to see them all next season!

Cor and I donated blood last weekend and each got 2 free movie tickets!! I swear we didn't know about the tickets until after we were going to donate! Bonus!

Cor and I did the Claremont trail (yes for the record I was very sore and died!) lol Brucey loved it even though he was hotttt and kept trying to find shade!!

Beautiful smog from the top

Bruce was so worn out he just laid down and didn't make a peep the whole way home! Which is NOT like him!!

Random- about a $mil worth of vehicles right there... Loveeee me a tesla!!

Lots of cuddle time with my boys <3

On Friday we decided to go to an angel game! We got tickets that day.. Not bad for $20!

They won and it was a lot of fun...Light up that halo!!

Saturday we went and saw edge of tomorrow (it was good).. Stopped by the farmers market and then went hat shopping for Cor with Ryan!

Today we had the best visitor...Meg was able to rearrange her flight and spend the day with us!!!!

We met up with Ryan.. Which was filled with laughter and banter.. As always!!

Memorial Weekend Etc!

A week ago my All-Star team had their first friendlies so I thought I'd share all of the adorable-ness in this photo! Aren't they the cutest?! Our first real tournament is this coming weekend and I am so so excited!

Last Wednesday Cor and I got to meet up with our old roommate Chucky and his fiancĂ© (who we also count as our old roommate!!) Nico for dinner after my practice. Nico just returned from doing volunteer work in Cambodia so we hadn't seen her in forever! Also, Chucky left for deployment a few days later so it was nice to catch up before another long time without seeing them! They are one of our favorites couples and we were actually there the night they met! Now they are engaged and it is just so exciting! Unfortunately, which is so unlike me, I didn't take ANY pics!!! =[

This past weekend was memorial weekend so it was a nice 3 1/2 day weekend with my love!

Friday I got off before noon and we worked on some school work, caught up on our shows and had a relaxing evening!

Saturday we got up early and headed to the gym before it got crowded! Then we took brucey to the park and let him play which he loved!! In the evening we walked around downtown claremont (the weather was perfect!) and ate at a place called Dr. Grubb's

It is our new FAVORITE.. So So good!!

We finished up with a coffee and free cookie then headed home to watch the UFC prelim fights!

My nieces also came over Saturday night and as always they entertained us!

Sunday morning we met up with Ryan at Klatch coffee and got to hear about all of his police academy stories! Very funny as usual!

These two even called each other to coordinate outfits.. Hehehe

Then Cor and I got a groupon to go indoor rock climbing at hanger 18! OMG we had the best time! It was so fun and we still have one more groupon to use sometime soon! I love it!!!

Our cool shoes

No ropes!

My view from the top!!

Selfie from the top!

A little blurry but does the job!!

Yesterday (Monday) we had a lazy day and just went to the gym, napped, grocery shopped and watched the NBA playoff game!

Here was our under 30 min dinner!

It was such a great weekend with the best man in the world!!

Only 4 more days of work and then I'm off for the summer!!! Woo Hoo!!

Until next time!!
