Happy Easter and A Little More!

Happy Easter! What a great day it's been! First, let me catch ya back up on the past couple weeks since Cor's birthday!

We got to FaceTime with Ais and Carson for Aislynn's birthday! We cannot wait to see them for their birthday party on May 3!

As of April 11.. Cor and I began 30 days of being Gluten Free! Just an experiment, but so far so good! A little over one week in the books! In the beginning of the week I thought I felt the same, but the last 2 days I've had way more energy and have noticed a change. Verdict is still out... But here's some of the gluten free food we've been enjoying!

(That pizza was from Z Pizza and was actually disgusting!!! The only gross thing we've had so far!)

We had to wash down the nasty pizza with fro-yo.. Duhhh (sorry it's sideways) 

Yesterday we spent the day at the park, playing some softball and just relaxing! Brucey was so cute.. When we'd hit the ball to the outfield, he'd run and go get it! He was the best shagger!!!

Then we came home and cooked dinner TOGETHER.. For once we are on the same diet and it has been nice!!

We made a "hobo" chicken dinner... YUM

And a strawberry, feta, walnut salad

I finally got to use my strawberry slicer!! My MIL would be so proud that I own this! And let me tell you.. My strawberries looked fancy and it was quick!!!

(Yes it is slightly broken.. I may have put a LARGE strawberry in on the first try! Woops!)

Then we watched "Philomena" and called it a night!! A lovely day!

And today is Easter!! The day started with me giving Cor his Easter basket... A new French Press and some Quest bars! 

Then my sister and my nieces came over and we opened baskets and had an Easter egg hunt!!!

The hunters!!! They had so much fun!! It was fun just to hide them and watch!! Aves was especially cute because with every egg she found, she'd yell "I found another one!" So sweet!

It was such a nice day!! And overall a wonderful weekend!!

I am so lucky =] .. Just had to note that!

Happy Birthday Cor Bear!

Today is my wonderfully amazing other half's 24th birthday!!!!

As much as I want to go into all the reasons why I love today more than Cor.. I will save them for the card he already read.. Just between us!! I love you baby!

Lets Rewind a little..

The day started with me, Cor, and my friend Vanessa leaving before the sun was up down to Camp Pendleton to play paintball! We met up with our old roommate, Chucky.. Chucky's brother Sammy.. And Chucky's cousin and his cousin's fiancé! 

I have to say.. Paintballing is SOOO fun! I was nervous about how much it will hurt, but with the adrenaline.. It's nothing!

We played allllllll day until 5 pm.. When we were out of paint and ready to head home! 

Cor was like a little kid at Disneyland.. Totally in his element and and soaking it up! He is gooooood too!!!! It was almost just more fun to watch him Rambo-out!!

Basically it just made me happy to see him so happy! Exactly what a birthday should be!

April Fooooools!

This is a very special day for us! Today, 5 years ago I flew to Virginia for the first time. I flew clear across the country to meet who would end up being the love of my life! It was by far the CRAZIEST thing I have ever done and I don't recommend it to any 21 year old girl! (He could have been a murderer!!) haha well thankfully he wasn't and this day, 5 years ago, changed my life forever!

This is the very first picture we took together.. April 1, 2009... Side by side with a picture taken today.. April 1, 2014!

I will never forget getting off the plane, being so unbelievably nervous.. Having him call me and say "I just got a call that I'm being deployed, I have to leave right now".. He hung up, my shoulders slumped, and I thought "Now what?" 

I kept walking, dejected, scared (for a whole new reason), and disappointed.. I thought I was going to be stranded in Virginia and not even get to meet him, after waiting sooo long! 

Then... BOOM!

Someone tackles me from behind, wraps me up in what now is my absolute favorite bear hug.. And says "APRIL FOOLS!!!"... That stinker!! 

I should have known right then that life with Cor is anything but boring!

I will never forget the feeling of that day! Brings me back every time I stop to reminisce! =]

On another note, we're back home and I'm back to work!

Our road trip home was lovely! We stopped in Cory's hometown, Tehachapi, and had lunch. We drove around and he showed me all the "spots".. That I've seen before, but it's so nice to listen again! I love to listen to Cory's childhood stories.. He lights up when he tells them and it makes my heart happy =]

This was the best story.. Cor found the old tunnels his friends and him made.. He was so excited and we had to get out so he could show me better!! Love his enthusiasm!
